At Planimeter, we have always believed in the power of science. For decades we have contributed to pharmaceutical research and clinical development projects, supporting the creation of new molecules and medical devices with our statistical expertise. Precision, validation discipline, and evidence-based decision-making have shaped our identity from the very beginning.

As businesses grow, their data grows with them. Every system, transaction, and process leaves a measurable footprint. Many organizations use business dashboards to explore these historical events through filters and charts — which is valuable, but rarely transformative.

Our mission goes further: we design and deliver true decision-support systems. We treat past data not only as a record, but as raw material for forecasting, scenario analysis, and risk detection. Using advanced analytics and AI-driven modelling, we identify turning points where past patterns lose their validity — and help our clients minimize uncertainty in what comes next.

We started our journey long before Python became the default language of data science — in the early days of the internet. Over 28 years, we have gone through several technological eras, yet our focus has remained unchanged:

to turn internal enterprise data into competitive advantage.

We did this when we performed data mining in SAS, later when we built Shiny dashboards in R, and now as we develop analytical and AI-enhanced models primarily in Python.

Planimeter Ltd. was founded in 1997 in Budapest, Hungary by four private individuals. Today we remain intentionally compact — typically 8–10 employees supported by a similarly large contractor pool — allowing us to stay agile, senior-led, and deeply specialised.

Across our 28-year history, we have contributed to over 1,200 projects, supporting 500 clients in 22 countries. What has remained constant is our belief that well-designed analytics not only answer business questions, but help organisations ask better ones.
